The PA
The Parents’ Association is a small, hard-working committee made up of the parents of children in the school and staff. We enjoy working together to advance the education of all HOHS pupils, by fundraising so we can purchase additional facilities for the school.
We fundraise by holding social events such as Quiz Nights and Christmas craft workshops for children, sales such as our Boden Event, as well as organising the Summer School Fete, providing refreshments at school events, running a 100 Club and running the School Uniform Shop. We all give our time voluntarily and with the support of all parents who attend our events, raise several thousands of pounds each year, which is used to buy anything from library books to computers, sewing machines to play equipment.
In 2008/9, the PA contributed to exciting projects throughout the school such as the 'Star Chaser' event for Years 8 and 9, archery taster sessions, the Summer Ball and trips to London to name but a few. We also bought a range of equipment for other departments including a new notice board and a 16-handle parachute for Pre-Prep, Junior library display shelves and bean bags, a Wii for the boarders and tennis equipment.

Family Bingo Night - Friday 12th March 2010
Pupils, parents, family and friends are invited to join us for an evening of traditional family fun. There will be prizes to be won and other fun games. More details to follow shortly.

100 Club - it's never too late to join!
The 100 Club is open to parents, grandparents, family members, staff and friends of the school. It is a chance for you to win some money whilst raising funds for the school.
It only costs £25 a year. Half the money goes to the Parents' Association (who use it to provide extra facilities and equipment for the school) whilst the rest goes into the prize fund.
There are three draws a year with 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes of at least £100, £50 and £25 respectively.
The next draw will be after February half-term 2010. The more people who support the club, the greater the prize money!! Pick up your form from the School Office and be in with a chance of being the next big
winner. Good luck and thank you for your support.
