Mel (Marijke) Root

"I have so many fantastic memories of my time at HOHS, and I really feel that without such a positive environment I would not have achieved the success that I have in my career. Having graduated with a 2.1 Hons in Marketing in 2002, I went on to work in London for one of the UK's largest outdoor advertising companies, Clear Channel Outdoor. I spent 3 years exploring London, travelled and worked for Thomson/First Choice for a year, and am now based back in Norwich, looking after the marketing function for a design & space planning company and an architectural practice.

This is largely thanks to the style of teaching that I received at HOHS. My passion for marketing can be directly attributed to the encouragement I received in the junior school from Miss Mason and her creative writing exercises, and from Mrs Brown later on in English classes."
