School Nurses
We have two school nurses on site who are happy to provide advice and information on any health related matter to pupils and parents.
Sister Freake works Monday - Wednesday.
Sister Greig works Thursday and Friday.
If your child is ill while at school, they will be sent to a school nurse. The nurse will then decide on the best treatment and will contact parents or guardians directly as required.
When joining the school all pupils must complete and return a medical form which is confidential and kept by the school nurses. It is very important that the nurses and the school is notified of any changes to a pupil's medical history or parent contact details, so they can contact parents if your child is unwell or in an emergency.

Common medical queries from parents
Head Lice
As a gentle reminder, please could parents be aware of the problem of head lice and try to check their child's hair on a weekly basis. This is best done when the hair is wet and has conditioner on.
Treatments are available from the chemist or the Bug Busting method can be used.
Vomiting/ Diarrhoea
If your child is unwell with vomiting and/or diarrhoea please keep them away from school for 48 hours following the last episode.
