How To Find Us - Directions
Hethersett Old Hall School is located in Norfolk, just off the A47 and A11, a short 15-minute drive from Norwich city centre, the train station and bus terminal.
We are located just a 25-minute drive from Norwich International Airport, 90 minutes from Stansted Airport and approximately 2 hours 30 minutes from Heathrow and Gatwick. We can arrange pupil pick ups from all airports.
Cambridge, home of the famous university, is one hour away and London can be reached in 2 hours.
Directions
From Norwich centre or train station
Take the Newmarket Road south to join the A11. At the Thickthorn roundabout take the B1172 signposted to Hethersett. Continue on this road for approximately 2 miles. The school is on the left past the turning marked Ketteringham Lane.
Bus
Take either number 14 or 15 First Counties Bus to Wymondham. The bus goes all through Hethersett. You need to get off at the New Road stop. Walk to the end of the street to the B1172, where you will see the Hethersett Old Hall School sign.
From Norwich Airport
Take the ring road to the Newmarket Road roundabout. Turn right and take the Newmarket Road south to join A11 and continue as above. We can arrange pupil pick ups from Norwich airport.
From the South and Midlands
Take the A11 to Norwich. Take the exit off the A11 marked Wymondham and Hethersett (do NOT take the first exit to Wymondham). Waitrose supermarket is on your left. At the roundabout turn right on the B1172 to Hethersett. The school is on the right hand side past the entrance to Park Farm Hotel on right (approximately 3 miles).
From the North
Take the A47 to Norwich. Follow the Southern Bypass to Great Yarmouth. Exit to A11 London and take B1172 off the roundabout to Hethersett. Continue on this road for approximately 2 miles. The school is on the left past the turning marked Ketteringham Lane.
