GCSE Subjects
The choice of your GCSE options marks a significant point in your school career. Until now you have
followed a very broad based curriculum, which has given you grounding for further study. Now you have the opportunity to select those areas which interest you most and where you think you are likely to succeed.
At Hethersett, we initially ask girls to nominate four options plus two reserves in order of preference. Based on the choices of the whole year, option blocks will be formed. You will then choose to study one subject in each block. It may not be possible to give you your first four preferences, but this system produces the best possible match. The timetable allows pupils to take up to 10 GCSEs, as standard.
