Drama
Two highlights within the school year are the Junior and Senior school drama productions.
These are performed at the school or at local venues, including The Norwich Playhouse, to give pupils an experience of a real live working theatre environment.
Senior School Drama
The senior school drama club is run by our drama teacher, Mrs Richards in The Barn. Recent senior school productions have included 'Grimm' based on the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm (2010), 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' (2009) and 'The Caucasian Chalk Circle" (2008).
Mrs Richards' policy is to include all girls who want to take part in the annual production. Pupils thoroughly enjoy the experience and audiences are always impressed with the high level of professionalism shown by the young actors.
"I really thought they'd hired some classy fashion whizz to do the costumes. The cast wore beautifully designed outfits in vivid pinks, purples, iridescent greens and blues, so I was amazed to learn they'd all been scrounged and adapted from charity shops and parents!
"The acting was superb....There are a few girls who could have a career on the stage if they so wished!"

Junior School Drama
All our Junior school pupils are involved in the Junior school production. In 2009, they performed a musical version of 'Romeo and Juliet' and in June 2010 they delighted audiences with "A Victorian Music Hall."
""I would just like to put in writing how much I enjoyed the Junior Play last week. I thought the way that the girls performed was truly remarkable, especially when you bear in mind that the eldest girls were only 11. Their acting abilities, the way they spoke and conducted themselves was amazing and it made me think that this is why I am striving to send two girls to Old Hall. Well done to everyone involved."
