Day Boarding for Juniors and Seniors
Teaching finishes at 3.45pm Monday - Friday for Junior and Senior pupils, but this i
s by no means the end of the school day.
We offer the option of day boarding to all junior, senior and sixth form pupils which is included within our day fees. Day boarding is available every day, except for the Friday of exeat weekends and on the last day of term, when all pupils should be collected at 3.45pm.
N.B. If you would like further details on our before school care, please see Breakfast Club.
A Typical Afternoon in Day Boarding
Once your daughter or son finishes their lessons at 3.45pm, they register for day boarding and have a drink and a quick snack of fruit or a biscuit. Pupils are also welcome to bring their own snack if they wish.
Junior and senior pupils can then attend after-school clubs or activities run on the school site, or they can relax and socialise in the junior or senior day-boarding common rooms until 5.00pm.
At 5.00pm, all pupils are supervised for prep. We expect them to work quietly without distracting each other.
Day-Boarding Collection Times
Pupils should be collected from the school site at the end of after-school activities at 5.00pm, or after prep at 5.45pm for junior pupils, 6.00pm for senior girls.
How can I arrange for my child to attend day boarding?
If you want your child to day board on a regular basis, please complete and return a day boarding form (available from the school office) stating the days you would like to them stay and what time you would like to collect them.
